Dear Gauranga Sundara Dasa,
Last Friday, I did a speech on Srila Prabhupada and the miracles in his life. My teacher
said that she was so interested that she forgot to
take any notes on my ability to do a public speech, to which I replied "when one talks
about Krsna, who wouldn't be interested." I got an A*.

Dear Gauranga Sundara Prabhu,
Please accept my respectful obeisances at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All
glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga. Please forgive me for not writing to you before. Also please forgive me for
stopping direct debit without any notice or contact. I am not in the UK anymore. So I had to stop all my transactions there. Since July 2000 I am in
New York now.
I moved from Leicester to Newcastle in Feb 2000 and now I moved from there as well. Good thing here is that I get opportunity to serve Mahatirtha 26
second avenue the original place of Shrila Prabhupad. We have thrice weekly program here. Also there is Sri Sri Radha Govind temple in Brooklyn, New
York. We have Sunday program there.
Please offer my obeisances to Sri Sri Pancha Tattva. Also to Radhakant Prabhu and other devotees at Leicester.
Please forgive me if I offended you in any way. Hari Bol!
Servant of your servant
Manoj
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glory to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.
I wanted to thank you for providing such a wonderful site. It is part of my day and I am grateful.
I am looking for a prayer book or song book on devotion to Lord Krishna, if you can help me I would appreciate it very much.
Your friend and fellow devotee,

Dear Prabhu
What is this about closing the temple???
If this is actually true it would be a disaster for the Krsna Consciousness. Lord Caitanya prays that this sankirtan is the prime benediction for society at large but if the temple is closed one avenue for the spread of the sankirtan to the society will be lost.
We should pray to Lord Nityananda and Srila Prabhupada that we become sincere so our service to their Lordships will be able to continue. The deities are in jeopardy of losing a home. This
is a very precarious position. Krsna should not be inconvenienced. I will pray as well
that this tragedy does not happen.

Please accept our humble obeisances, All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Thank you for making our stay at Leicester Temple so special. The girls especially were very happy with the accommodation, and I think you'll
probably be seeing more of us this summer!
Leicester Temple is very nice, with many nice devotees who I hope to gain association from further. Also thank you for the newsletter, it was
very nice to read - I look forward to the next issue .... I remember you taking lots of pictures over this weekend, so I guess two of the main
stories for this bi-monthly issue are going to be the first Leicester Pandava Sena Jamming Programme and
Tribhangananda Prabhu and Rambhi Mataji's wedding!
Thank you for engaging us all in the Vaishnava's service,
Runa, Anila and Anita
Haribol!
Dear Gauranga Sundara Prabhu,
Please accept my humble obeisances!
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
I continually enjoy the vast amounts of nectar that your website has to offer.
You provide a wonderful service to beginner devotees like myself by exposing us
to the wonderful sublime and eternally attractive Vaishnava culture, lifestyle,
philosophy, and music. Keep up the great job!
I have been trying to find the words and translation of the bhajan "Krishna
Jinka Nam Hai" ... H.H. Bhakti Caru Swami does a nice rendition ... I have
had no luck searching it out on line. Would you have any suggestions? Or perhaps
know or have it yourself? If not, please do not worry ... as I am sure
Krishna will grant my desire to learn it in His time, not mine.
I continue to benefit much from your site ... and I hope this meets you in the
best of health and happiness!
Hare Krishna!

Open
Letter to the UK Management Council, November 2003
I am, Nimi das,
fulfill some service in the ISKCON temple in Leicester. My main service is the distribution of Srila Prabhupada's books. On Saturdays we go on harinam in Leicester. In the week time we arrange evening house programmes among congregation members and not only amongst them.
I want to express my gratitude and respect to the temple president in Leicester Gauranga Sundara prabhu, for his warm heartedness and love which he reveals to every devotee in Leicester. Now they speak a lot "Take care of the devotees." He is the person who doesn't talk but simply does. He takes care of the devotees, helps them in their spiritual life, and tolerates all our shortages. He is always full of enthusiasm. In preaching in the street he is always ahead on the horse. Due to his making an effort here in this place distribution of books happens. Harinam, Food for Life, house programs.
In the temple all the programmes are taking place, beginning from mangal arati till Gaura arati. Gauranga Sundara prabhu is personally present in all the programs, inspires all of us by his own example. Every morning he is with all the devotees, chants 16 rounds. Gauranga Sundara prabhu is the man who doesn't force but who inspires. This is a very important quality of a devotee. He doesn't have his personal life. He spends all his time on the temple maintenance and the preaching of Srila Prabhupada's mission.
Please thank him for this unselfish service, he deserves it.
-----
I, Bhaktin Natalia, am writing to you (UK Management Council) as I think you had a wrong perception about the temple in Leicester and about the devotees in the temple. You heard a lot about the temple and the things here from
T. prabhu at your Management Council. And of course you red the report from M. prabhu, which he wrote after spending several days here. I think that you will be interested to know the opinion of the temple
residents.
First of all I want to say that in our temple there is a warm nice family atmosphere, which helps even foreign devotees to feel here at home. Mostly due to Gauranga Sundara prabhu's attention to everyone, he tries to take care of everyone in the very best way. All the temple devotees are engaged in preaching activities, which constantly widens; Nama Hatta programmes, Food for Life, distribution of books, regular harinam, wonderful Sunday programmes, which a lot of devotees and guests take part in.
I would like to admit too that in Leicester temple all the opportunities for learning different skills are created, such as pujari department, kitchen, playing different musical instruments and so on. Having so many opportunities in the future we can serve Krishna in the best way.
Of course it is easy to reproach the temple saying 'the standard of cleanliness is not so high', or something else, but now we are working on solving these problems. Every week we have an istagosthi, in which we discuss all the current questions and find a rationale solution.
To issue from above mentioned one can propose that in the nearest future the Leicester temple will make a good showing. The main thing is that all the devotees and the authority of the temple have a great sincere desire to serve Krishna and to satisfy all the Vaishnavas, all the devotees. Thanks to we have a hope that by Krishna's mercy we will be able to overcome all the obstacles. Please bless us for this.
Your servant, Bhaktin Natalia

Dear members of British Management Council. PAMHO. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I am Syamasakhi d.d., a resident of the temple in Leicester, was invited here to help in the preaching mission, leading kirtans, taking an active part in harinam and so on. I am a secretary here now, I try to help Gauranga Sundara prabhu in my own way. He is a wonderful servant of Krishna and I am sure that he is very dear to Srila Prabhupada; very determined, enthusiastic, very caring for all the devotees. This qualities are very important for the temple president. But for him I will never have come here but due to his determination and wish my coming here I am here now.
I will give you one nice example. There are bees that notice one flower among the stool, there are flies that notice stool among the field of flowers. Gauranga Sundara prabhu is a man who notices nice qualities in a person and tries to develop them, helping and teaching - he is not greedy about this at all. Personal attitude, family relations, reign in the temple and I appreciate it.
For the last period of time in Leicester there were several rumours and problems. But only who does nothing had no problems. The course of this scandal I see only in jealousy from
T. prabhu's part, confrontation between T. prabhu and Gauranga Sundara prabhu,
T. prabhu's wish to satisfy his own false ego but not to find a nice solution of the problems. It seems to me that even he, what to speak of others, understand it.
Anyway, all we try to get rid of mistakes, shortages. Bless us not to pay attention to the obstacles in our way to become stronger in our service to Srila Prabhupada, fulfilling his wish: "I will see how you love me by how you co-operate with one another." Let us do it!
Your servant, Syamasakhi d.d.

I, Kavicandra das, would like to give you my point of view of what has happened here in Leicester temple. I lived here for two years. I want to draw your attention to the fact that all of us gathered here in the house which Srila Prabhupada has built. We are all different, it's not a secret for anyone that everyone has his shortages and everyone can make mistakes. But we gathered here to develop our nice qualities, helping each other to get rid of our shortages, by helping but not criticizing only.
This scandal created a lot of bad things: Rumours, anger, fraud, insult, blackmail. This problem was constantly developing, warming up on the part of those who were criticizing. And at last a real fire flamed up, in which all the devotees were caught, even those who didn't deal with the problem. Over the temple hung a horrible atmosphere. I think
T. prabhu didn't act rightly. He, as a senior devotee, who has great experience, who knows sastra very well, who has a lot of wonderful qualities, made a mistake; he allowed this fire to flame up. He had to solve himself this small problem at the very beginning. Anyway, I think that every devotee made his conclusion of this situation.
Yes, Gauranga Sundara prabhu has shortages as anyone and he knows about them. But, what I like in him is strong determination, trying to get rid of his shortages.
Frankly speaking, not so often you can meet such a president as Gauranga Sundara prabhu. Determined, inspired, working hard and inspiring others.
I like this temple and I come here to help Gauranga Sundara to fulfill some service. Though I know that I am always welcome in other temples as well, I prefer to stay here because there is an opportunity and perspective for preaching.
Your servant, Kavicandra das

I offer my obeisances unto the lotus feet of Lord Krishna and all His devotees. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
This small letter is to give some information about myself, my situation here and the atmosphere in the Leicester Mandir. My name is Sitarama. I am from Peru, South America. I am 26 years old. I know Krishna consciousness since I was 2 years old because my mother is a devotee, Janavipriya. Her spiritual master is Jayapataka Swami. I am here initially for one year, my service in the temple is to be tulasi devi's pujari, but my profession is to be a dentist, and in the future I hope I will work as dentist here because in my country I have my dental practice and I used to work with all the vegetarians and devotee community, because they wanted to have a devotee dentist to serve them.
Now I am trying to serve Tulasi Devi with all my bhakti and started to re-pot little Tulasi Devi. I also started to translate a book about the worship of tulasi devi from English into Spanish. Also sometimes my service is to cook twice per week. The bhakti in the temple is beautiful because the devotees chant Hare Krishna with nice smiles all the time, talking about Krishna's service and how to improve it: Book distribution, Nama Hatta - and suddenly things changed because some people came and put stones in the way. Asking here, asking there, talking here, talking there, and we have to
fulfill our service, at the same time answering the questions these people had about our service. I don't want more problems with this letter but I think it is necessary what happened and put all things clear. Those who need to know what kind of people are here, the people in the Leicester temple are Krishna's devotees, do the best for propagating the Holy Name of the Lord by book distribution, Krishna's service and etc., like Srila Prabhupada always wanted and blessed.
Your servant, Sitarama d.d.

Dear Gauranga
Further to my last email: I've found out how to get the rest of your Newsletter and the links.
Very good!
Leicester Newsletter on the way.
I hope your appeal is successful. It would be a pity to close the temple.
All good wishes.
Yours

I would really like to know more about your
organisation and faith, as I have actively been experimenting with the truth for many years.
How does it feel to be a 'Hindu' and not of the complexities of Hindu birth and society?
Back to Godhead sounds like an interesting proposal on how to spend your life and certainly one I wouldn't mind looking deeper into before I
shoot of to India to find out for myself a few truths about existence.
In all what are the possibilities of experiencing your way of life, temple and community life as a layman, or attending a focal point of the
structure of your organised faith, as an outsider without monastic commitment - and... would
monastic commitment understand periodic commitment (such as in Therevada Buddhism of South East Asia) or a life long aim as in the
western Christian religions. What are your basic differences, apart from the more globalised and
westernised appropriations of the ISKON faith and organisation - from the more, acceptably recognised forms of Hindu faith and expression? Please apologise me
for my directness in my questioning should I appear too direct or insulting.
Truthfully,
Velimir Jovanovic
Experimentor
PS. I approach a number of devotees in my home town of Derby from time to time and help with a donation. I have never asked them in my hurry and ignorance
about the possibilities of further contact. However, they do state that they are based in Coventry and this place never comes up as a link on the web or
elsewhere on listings. Is the ISKON society unified or divided in fractions?
Dear Prabhus,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!!
Like the "normal" material world, the electronic world of the internet can be a dangerous place. The mind can be easily taken away on a wild and treacherous ride and our existence carried again into the lower species but websites like this help to sanctify the internet and add some light and some sanctuary for the fortunate few who are trying to get the mercy of the
Vaishnavas. This mercy is available here in the form of kirtan and lecture.
Thank you for this very nice opportunity to associate with the Vaishnavas.

Hare Krishna!
You asked me to write some more - I am only happy to do so ...
(Way back) in 1983, I had my first 'encounter' with a devotee of the Hare Krishna Movement in Amsterdam (the Netherlands). He offered/sold me a LP with
some wonderful music (including Govindam and of course the Maha Mantra). For years that record was played by me at least once a week. Tried as much as I
could to sing along. However small in effort, it always felt good.
At some point between homes I, sadly enough, lost most of my records - including the Hare Krishna record. But the chanting remained, as I
had grown accustomed to doing so. As a lay person, it was/is rather irregular - far from
the required 16 rounds at least.
To shorten a rather long story: Krishna Consciousness IS part of my life and IS growing day by day. Maya does
her tricks as well - at times there just doesn't seem enough time to live. Let alone to
chant ...
I love to speak to other people and colleagues about what Krishna Consciousness does
to people and I always try to make more time (I am self-employed into computing, programming and the Internet).
Still many questions remain, but every time I visit a temple and talk to bhaktas and
bhaktins I feel rather free to ask them their ears off. Living is learning and to learn is fun. The
newsletter is to me another important source of information.
After reading the newsletter, I very much would like to visit the temple in Leicester (that will be somewhere in
January, 2001). I hope and pray the present threat of having to close will not happen.
Thank you for being there.

Hare Krsna Prabhu,
Thank you so much for putting up a wonderful site. I just found it today. I must have been Lord Chaitainya's mercy (day after Gaura Purinama
celebration) for him to bring me to your site. I am enjoying listening to the bhajans at work and
they have provided solace until the next time I am able to get back to the temple. Please keep up the good work and continue to put
up bhajans, especially if you have any from devotees from Mayapur, Vrindaban and other parts of
Bengal and India because they have such sweet voices that bring tears to your eyes. Haribol!

Please accept my sahastra dandavat's unto your lotus feet. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada. All glories to your wonderful service.
Prabhu, I want to thank you as well as praise your effort in writing the
Harmonium music book. I just came to know about it 2 weeks ago. I have learned
most of the rythms in it. It was indeed very easy to learn the way you wrote the
notes.
From a very long time I wanted to sing on harmonium but couldn't and now I
cannot believe my fingers and my voice. Thank you very much Prabhu.
I wanted to ask you if you could guide me more on this as I feel I am really
becoming addicted to the Maha-mantra through this way of singing, while playing
harmonium. I may not have a good voice, but I enjoy singing. It's hard to get a
personal trainer or guide unless we go to India and that will not be easily
possible. Please let me know about this.
Please write back when you have some time.

Dear Prabhu,
Please accept my humble Obeisances. All glories to SRILA PRABHUPADA!!!
I think your doing doing a great job of work. I was somewhat confused regarding
the events in Leicester as I heard a little hear and there and was not close
enough to ask you what had happened. Anyway, one judges a tree by it's fruits.
Where ever the desire is to spread the chanting of Hare Krishna mantra according
to the instructions of Srila Prabhupada then all success will be there. We are
not a sectarian movement but sometimes I think that that understanding is lost
due to the influence of Kali in our cultural divisions and conditioning. Your
efforts make me feel inadequate and at the same time inspire me. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the new copy of Eternal Bliss. The sound quality is great
this time, thank you very much for making a new copy for me. The kirtana is
amazing, have been listening to it since I received it. Fantastic! Looking
forward to the second part. Will keep on checking your website for more nectar.
Thank you very much again.
