Hare Krishna Mass Carol - Thousands gather at the Hare Krishna Temple
for the Launch of a CD
It was back to the 60’s with the air filled with the devotional love for George Harrison, as thousands of people of different backgrounds came together to see Leicester’s Hare Krishna Temple release its first Compact Disk. This lovely album of devotional songs dedicated to their love for Krishna brought a tear to the eye and lump to the throat.
Temple President Gauranga Sundara Das said ‘this album will put Leicester on the map and is aiming high with Krishna Carols, being number one in the charts this Christmas.’
A total of 1,500 CDs were sold within the hour and Krishna fans all over the globe are making requests for more.
Fundraising manager Pragnesh Vajubhai Lakhani said ‘I am overwhelmed by the response. It is so nice to see people of all backgrounds come together and support us.’
Devotees from the Leicester Temple will commence a tour around Europe to promote the CD and share with others the inspirational message for Krish –mas.
